Major Work Area     several years experience and be very comfortable grooming all breeds of cats and dogs.

Additional Skills        positive attitude, strong customer service skills and ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner.

Duties:

• Shampoo, clip and groom animals.
• Discussing clients' requests about how they want their dog and/or cat to be groomed.
• Transporting dog and/or cat between kennels and grooming areas
• Clipping nails
• Cleaning ears
• Giving baths to dog and/or cat and choosing specialized soaps and shampoos
• Applying flea treatments
• Drying and brushing coats of fur or hair
• Brushing or cleaning their teeth
• Trimming and shaping their fur in a variety of styles
• Preparing dog and/or cat for shows
• Boarding dog and/or cat for a few hours or overnight as needed
• Feeding dog and/or cat or giving them treats
• Making sure that dog and/or cat have plenty of water
• Taking dog and/or cat for short walks and cleaning up after them when needed
• Disinfecting tools and work areas
