Location: Niagara Falls, ON L2E 3M5
Salary: $35.25 per hour for 35 hours per week
Number of vacancies: 1
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
Job Type: Permanent employment
Job Responsibilities:
- Actively involved in recruitment process by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the internal and client’s hiring process
- Create engaging job descriptions and post job openings on various platforms, including websites, job boards, and social media.
- Use a variety of sourcing methods, such as online databases, networking, and referrals, to identify potential candidates for open positions.
- Review resumes, applications, and cover letters to shortlist candidates who meet the job requirements.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a seamless interview process.
- Offer guidance to job seekers regarding employment prerequisites and employment terms.
- Assess the pool of potential candidates and manage the process of gathering and evaluating applicant profiles.
- Inform candidates about the outcomes of the selection process and generate employment offers as needed.
- Monitor employees’ working hours and the tasks they complete
- Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
- Providing counseling on policies and procedures
- Organize and administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
- Developing programs to increase morale, such as bonuses or top performer rewards
Eligibility Requirements:
- A CEGEP/ college degree in human resources or a related field is often preferred.
- Previous experience of 2 to 3 years in recruitment, talent acquisition, or a similar role is typically required.
- A strong understanding of recruitment processes, sourcing techniques, candidate screening, and interviewing methods is essential.
- Understanding the specific job market and the skills and qualifications required for different positions helps in effectively sourcing and evaluating candidates.
- Must have knowledge of MS Access; MS Office
- Effective interpersonal skills, Client focus, Initiative, Reliability, Team player, Judgment, Accurate and well Organized
