Tasks
- Plan and design menus, decide food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
- Inspect kitchen area and food service areas
- Prep and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Coordinate with other members in regards to ordering supplies and equipment
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Ensure cleansiness of kitchen and work areas
- Manage kitchen operations
