“Fresh Value Food Distributors Ltd.” is looking for an energetic “Vice-president, finance-food wholesale” for their company situated in Surrey. The Vice-President will hold a key leadership role responsible for driving overall strategy, managing senior teams, and ensuring the company’s growth and profitability.

Salary: $54.00 hourly / 32 hours per week

Job Description:

• Develop and implement the company’s long-term vision, mission and strategic goals by aligning company’s objectives with market demands, industry trends and customer expectations.
• Set financial goals, approve budgets for material, human and financial resources, and monitor performance metrics to ensure profitability. Also, analyze data to identify risks and opportunities for the business.
• Oversee supply chain management, including procurements, inventory, warehousing, and logistics. Optimize technology for better integration.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, suppliers, and partners.
• Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments
• Collaborate with marketing teams to design campaigns, promotional activities, and branding efforts.
• Set key performance indicators (KPI) and monitor their achievements.
• Lead and mentor managers, including department heads for sales, marketing, operations and finance.
• Take effort to drive a culture of accountability, professionalism, and excellence within the organization.
• Ensure the company adheres to the Canadian regulatory standards for food safety, health, and environmental policies.
• Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated staff positions
• Provide regular updates to the directors and stakeholders on company performance, challenges, and opportunities.
• Propose initiatives to improve the company's market position and financial health.

Key Competencies Required:

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• In-depth knowledge of food distribution and supply chain management will be an asset.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in using management software and tools.
• Ability to foster a collaborative and high-performance organizational culture.
