Family in North York, Ontario is looking for a reliable Child Caregiver-Private home.

This position is full-time.

The employee is required to be flexible to cover shifts, some weekends. Overtime may be required; hours may vary from day, night and evenings.

-          Salary: $20.00 per hour, 30-35 hours per week

-          Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent-free

-          Work Location: 134 Highgate Ave, North York, Ontario, M2N 5G6; Must work in employer's/client's home.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Maintaining a safe, clean, and caring environment for the children.
2. Preparing nutritional food and snack selections for the children.
3. Planning and supervising structured educational activities, and playtime.
4. Maintaining professional and positive relationships with parents, and children.
5. Promote children's emotional and social development, understanding of others, and self-actualization.
6. Discipline children properly according to the methods requested by the parents.
7. Keep up-to-date records of children’s development, routines, and interests.
8. When necessary, administer first-aid or CPR to children.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Previous experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset.
2. First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate will be an asset.
3. Completion of secondary (high) school education is required.
4. Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
5. Must be reliable and patient with children.
