Job Description

Our well-established New Tech Fire & Mechanical Ltd., located at 1411 Belgo Road, Kelowna, British Columbia V1P 1C9, is looking for one permanent full-time 40 hours per week Plumber Apprentice to help us in our projects.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to the required shape and size

Requirements:

• Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate.
• 1 to 7 months of relevant experience
• English language

Remuneration:

• $35.00 per hour for 40 hours per week permanent contract
