Overview

RONA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lumber Yard Manager to oversee operations at our Sechelt location in British Columbia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management and a passion for the lumber and building materials industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations, ensuring efficiency and safety.
• Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive team environment.
• Maintain inventory levels and oversee stock management.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and assist customers with product selection.
• Monitor safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with upper management to develop strategies for sales growth and operational improvements.
• Plan Budgets and monitor revenue and expenses.
• Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages.
• Conduct performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Must have bachelor’s degree in business, retail, management, supply chain or equivalent.
• Previous experience in retail management, preferably in the lumber or construction supply sector.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of building materials and lumber products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
