Key responsibilities include arranging and coordinating seminars, conferences, and other events, as well as coordinating the activities of the HR department to ensure they meet the organization’s goals. The position requires directing and controlling daily operations, motivating staff, supervising other workers, and training them. Additional responsibilities involve opening and distributing mail and other materials, planning and controlling budgets and expenditures, and organizing daily operations. The role also includes establishing and implementing policies and procedures, recording and preparing minutes of meetings, seminars, and conferences, and scheduling and confirming appointments. Managing training and development strategies, organizing staff consultation and grievance procedures, and overseeing payroll administration are also key tasks. Providing customer service, performing data entry, maintaining and managing a digital database, consulting with clients after sales to provide ongoing support, and conducting performance reviews are essential duties. The position also requires supervising office and volunteer staff.
Experience with technology is essential, including proficiency in Google Docs, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), MS Windows, social media, Google Drive, LinkedIn, and Adobe Acrobat Reader. The position also requires knowledge of immigration processes, employee engagement, project management, business process management, and accounting.
The work environment is fast-paced, with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. You’ll need to work independently, handle minimal supervision, and pay attention to detail. Willingness to travel is also required.
