Permanent Position: Carpenter (Teer 72310)

Terms of Employment:  Permanent, Full Time (Overtime, weekend if required)

Wage Rate: $30.00 - $31.00 per hour (40.00 hours per week)

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Main Office: 8128 128 St Suite 284, Surrey, British Columbia, V3W 1R1 (Candidates required to work at various locations as per company contracts and requirements)

Education: High School.

Experience: 2-3 years of experience in similar industry.

Language: English.

Job Duties:

• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
• Study specifications to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
• Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace.
• Cut, shape, assemble and join and smooth materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding, hardware etc.
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Instruct, direct and coordinate with other workers

Additional Skills: Work at heights, must be able to lift 25 lbs.
